He graduated as a physician in 2006 at the Severino Sobra University (USS). In 2007, he entered the residency program in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Pedro Ernesto University Hospital (HUPE) of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). In 2010, he took a public examination, in which he was approved to take a medical residency in the area of Human Reproduction at the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Also in 2010, he obtained the title of Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics (TEGO), after having been approved in an exam by the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations (FEBRASGO) and the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB). Between 2010 and 2012 he developed his Master's thesis at UFRGS, having been supervised by Prof. Eduardo Pandolfi Passos, one of the leading authorities in assisted reproduction in the country. The result of this postgraduate course resulted in a publication in an important national journal in the field of assisted reproduction. During this same period, he worked as a volunteer doctor at the infertility clinic and at the assisted reproduction sector of the HCPA. Between 2013 and 2014, he returned to his homeland, Volta Redonda-RJ, and taking care of infertile couples at the Femina clinic, he began to develop the project for the creation and inauguration of a reproductive medicine clinic in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro. In 2014, he was approved in a public examination for a doctor specializing in assisted reproduction at HCPA. He then returned to Porto Alegre to take up the examination at the same time he joined the Doctorate at UFRGS and is currently developing his thesis and several research projects for his group. In 2015, it inaugurated, together with its partners, the Fertilizare Medicina Reprodutiva clinic in Volta Redonda, which today is the only institution in the South of the State of Rio de Janeiro to offer Assisted Reproduction treatments. Currently, Dr. Ivan works at HCPA, in his office in Porto Alegre and at Clínica Fertilizare in Volta Redonda, in addition to developing his doctoral thesis and other scientific research with the research group to which he belongs. He constantly participates in national and international congresses in search of knowledge and news in the area of assisted reproduction, seeking to improve care, information and better care for his patients.
