MFC has been nothing but wonderful! Same sex couple trying to have a baby, our lawyer suggested MFC and glad she did!
Everyone on their team / our journey has been awesome. From Dr. Wais, our nurse Stefanie and Manisha in accounting. They were always there to answer our questions and be the support we needed. From creating our embryos to our transfer, everything was smooth and successful! We were lucky enough to get pregnant on our first try. Couldn't have asked for a better fertility clinic! Highly recommend them..

I’ve had mostly great experiences at Markham Fertility Centre.. staffs are friendly, the nurses are nice, and the lobby is comfortable. The only issue is one of the bloodwork ladies. She’s been rude to me more than once and always seems annoyed when she sees me. she always has something to say or lecture me about everytime, and it makes me a bit uncomfortable… especially since everyone around can hear it. I know getting bloodwork is simple, but she makes it feel complicated. I prefer being in a welcoming, positive space, so it’s a bit concerning. especially as a regular patient..

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve been seeing Dr Chan for almost few years now. She is so caring and understanding about my situation. She took time to explain all my tests results with a diagram 😍 which i find so helpful, straight to the point. She gave me all the time to think and decide.. Soon I will be having an operation with Dr. Chan and Dr. Kelly DiRosa, i’m feeling anxious yet curious for the next step after removing the polyps.

I’m March 15,2024 I did my Sonohystogram at the clinic, The Sonographer’s name on the test result is “NE”. She asked me why i needed to have this procedure. so i explained, that Dr Chan requested that i needed to do it after 6 months but i was away in December and just came back in March. Mainly because there was growing polyps in my cervix. she proceed to the procedure, she was gentle and telling me what she’s doing. I asked “NE” that i was worried about my polyps, if its growing, i needed to have an operation to remove it because i want to conceive… and she said to me, “there is no polyps” I was shocked 😳 how that happened? was it a miracle or maybe because i had a vacation? ☺️. I insisted to check my previous test because i need the comparison. and she came back telling me, don’t worry about it, its normal, everyone can get a polyps, its not serious 🧐 and i’m doing this for many years, do not worry. . .
Then i was anxious to get the call from Dr Chan and her assistant. They explained that it has been growing and that needed removal so it won’t affect my future plans . 🥹. I was like. It wasn’t a big deal at all for the Sonograoher’s attitude but i can’t forget that incident someone telling you that they are experienced doing what they’re doing but every “body” is unique. We, health care professionals must be sensitive to our patients feelings, we rather not say much and let the specialist do their job than putting more pressure or stress to our patient. I myself is a healthcare provider and she didn’t know that, so she assumed that i don’t know anything about polyps 🙈. Anyway, i hope not to encounter Sonographer NE during my procedures in the future. if so I’m sorry but i don’t want anyone to touch me if they don’t know what they’re saying and no idea what i’m going through.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😇Dr. Wais who did the Sono for the Catheter, it was quick and i was warned that it will be uncomfortable. It was in fact tolerable. She was nice and did her job well, i was surprised with the negativity i read in the comments.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sunita ( Dr Chan’s admin assistant ) is very polite and so kind in anyways - thru emails or in person, responded immediately.

Dr. Garcia and her team at Markham Fertility Centre are AMAZING!! I have friends telling me stories of their fertility journey, but mine has just been wonderful! :)

You will need a referral to see a fertility doctor. Afterwards, you would need to do blood tests, ultrasounds, sonohysterogram, semen analysis, etc. The good news is that you could do ALL OF THAT at Markham Fertility Centre. It's like your one stop shop for all.

While Markham Fertility Centre is in a building beside the hospital, it is NOT in the hospital. It is on the fifth floor and the whole floor is where you'll meet your doctors and do your tests. There is parking across the building is $8/hour, and the office runs pretty on time, so you don't have to worry about sitting for hours waiting for you turn.

At the writing of this review, no, I am not pregnant and am not planning to at this very moment, as I need to work on some other health concern. What I am very pleased about is that Dr. Garcia was super supportive of me taking the time to focus on my health before trying to get pregnant. Her staff is attentive and sends you emails to follow up with your next steps when you are ready.

Some of my friends tell me that they have not heard from their fertility doctor, but Dr. Garcia and her team are always checking in and following up with us.

Overall, I am super grateful to be under the care of Dr. Garcia and her team. Without a hesitation, I would totally recommend, if you are having trouble getting pregnant, to get a referral to see her! You won't regret this decision!

A small tip for my ladies: When they tell you take a pain killer before your sonohysterogram--it's not a joke, DO IT! The procedure was PAINFUL, but thankfully, it only lasted 2 mins. ;)
