18 years ago a group of professionals led by Dr. Carlos Arturo Vivas Ramirez decided to create a Reproductive Medicine Unit, in order to offer these services in this region of the country. Specialists in reproductive medicine, urologists, gynecologists, embryologists, psychologists and nurses, after an arduous process, going through intrauterine inseminations, in vitro fertilization, ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection), donation of gametes and vitrification, they managed to forge what today today it is UNIFERTIL.

UNIFERTIL, is a pioneering unit in the area of reproductive medicine, with offices in Ibagué and Neiva, which after several years of painstaking work has managed, with its good results, to establish itself as a regional and national benchmark.

With the constant growth in technology and the continuous preparation of its group of professionals, UNIFERTIL has managed to bring the entire population, without class distinction, to the most modern assisted reproduction treatments, with the best quality standards. Thus bringing happiness to hundreds of families.

However, we can say that these first 18 years are only the basis for continuing to seek excellence through dedication, study, research, investment in technology, but above all a vocation for service.
