LFUB - The National Association for Involuntarily Childless, which was founded in 1990, is a patient association that works for men, women and couples who are involuntarily childless. Our vision is first and foremost to support the involuntarily childless both before, during and after fertility treatment. Infertility is challenging and vulnerable, and our desire is therefore to create a community where no one should feel alone.

Externally, we fight, among other things, to create a greater understanding in society of being challenged on fertility. Infertility is classified by the WHO as a disease. Yet there are many taboos associated with not being able to have children naturally. We want to do away with them with the help of enlightenment, knowledge and openness.

We embrace broadly in LFUB. Our position is that there must be room for everyone regardless of background and belief. Anyone who experiences fertility challenges, or wants to support the association's work, is welcome. We pay tribute to diversity, and can also proudly present a board that is of course professional and has the right competencies to run a patient association, but which is also versatile. We have different educational backgrounds and interests, and geographically we are spread across the country.

In return, we share the interest and desire to make a difference for all the women, men and couples who experience challenges with fertility and / or are in fertility treatment. We all know about involuntary infertility and treatment, and together we have been through numerous fertility treatments. We know how vulnerable, challenging and lonely it can be when control is lost and all the focus is suddenly on fertility treatment, scans and hormones.

The uncertainty and sadness about whether it will succeed can be overwhelming. We believe that support, help and community can help make the journey a little less lonely. That is why we want to help you where you are in your process.

Our professional team is ready to offer you the help and support you may need as a member of LFUB.
