More than 23,000 children are born each year in France thanks to Assisted Reproductive Medicine (AMP). However, they do not all come from the same procedure. Three techniques are used: artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, in vitro fertilization with ICSI. Protocols begin with ovarian stimulation. You have had IVF or IVF with ICSI and several “good quality” embryos have been obtained. The supernumerary embryos have been frozen with your consent. The reimplantation of these embryos after thawing does not require the same preparation as during IVF. In fact, the “oocyte puncture” step is no longer necessary.
