Located in the city of Tema, the facility is 20-25 minutes away from Ghana’s capital, Accra. The hospital offers exemplary and compassionate services through its highly skilled staff of specialists, physicians, compassionate nurses and highly proficient Allied Healthcare professionals and management staff. 

Tema Women’s Hospital was established in 1995 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Paul Owusu-Baah, with the aim of providing Health Care with Dignity. As the 2nd Centre in Ghana to set up Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) services back in 1999, the ART unit has combined professional care and meticulous laboratory techniques which has resulted in high pregnancy rates for couples who have battled with infertility. To date we are known for our exceptional results comparable to worldwide success rates in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

The hospital is accredited by the Health Facility Regulatory Agency of Accra. Its Staff are registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana. Its Members are also registered with the Fertility Society of Ghana and International bodies such as the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. 

Tema Women’s Hospital also works in conjunction with Korle-Bu and Ridge Hospitals residency programs, involved with the introduction and training of OB|GYN specialists in the field of Assisted Reproductive technology.
