Tammuz Family

Our experience with Tammuz Family has been extremely disappointing. We were given expectations about timelines that have repeatedly changed, leaving us facing a 16-month wait for matching, with no clear end in sight.

Communication has been frustrating, with repeated questions often met with the same generic responses rather than meaningful answers or solutions. We have invested a significant amount of money, time and emotional energy into this process, only to be left feeling anxious, helpless and deeply let down.

Becoming parents should not involve this level of uncertainty and distress. I wish we had known what we know today before signing the contract. I strongly encourage anyone considering Tammuz to do their own research, speak to other intended parents and ask difficult questions before committing.

As a current client of Tammuz, I cannot recommend their services based on our experience over the past 2 years. Tammuz is a third-party company rather than the clinic itself. They primarily forward information between you and the clinic. There have been significant delays at almost every step of the process, and communication has often been frustrating. Tammuz is an Israeli company, and payments are made in euros to Israel. There is no escrow account. Once they receive your money, they hold the funds. I also feel there is a lack of transparency throughout the process. Their focus appears to be on marketing & bringing in as many clients as possible, but once you become a client, you can be left waiting with little clarity about where you stand or how long the process will actually take. This has been an extremely difficult and frustrating experience. Unfortunately, Tammuz has not been working in our best interest or providing the level of communication, transparency, & support.

We are a Brazilian same-sex couple who chose Tammuz to help us fulfill our dream of becoming parents through surrogacy.nnWhen we signed our contract with Tammuz, we were consistently informed that the average timeline for completing the process would be approximately two years, subject, of course, to the uncertainties and unforeseen circumstances that are inherent to any surrogacy journey. We fully understood that occasional delays could occur and that certain factors are beyond the control of any agency. However, the problems we have experienced throughout our journey go far beyond these natural variables.nnAfter nearly two years since signing the contract and paying substantial amounts of money, our overall impression is one of complete disorganization and a loss of operational control by the company. Only through persistent follow-ups, repeated requests, and numerous complaints were we able to progress to the embryo creation stage. Even then, the process unfolded under conditions different from those originally contracted, as our embryo was ultimately created in Argentina rather than Colombia, as initially planned.nnNow, to our surprise, we have been informed that the estimated waiting time to begin interviews with potential surrogates is approximately another 13 months. At this stage of the process, such a timeline seems entirely inconsistent with the expectations created by the company itself and with the timelines presented during the sales process. In practical terms, even if everything proceeds smoothly from this point forward, the overall process is already heading toward a duration of four years or more.nnWhat is even more concerning is that our situation does not appear to be an isolated case. We participate in groups with numerous other intended parents who report similar—or even more serious—experiences involving repeated delays, changes in planning, and a lack of predictability. This raises legitimate concerns about the company's ability to properly manage the demand it has taken on.nnThe impression we are left with is that Tammuz has lost operational control over the service it provides. While clients are frequently reminded to manage their expectations and anxiety, little is said about the company's own responsibility to manage the process effectively and meet the expectations it originally established. The constant extension of timelines, without meaningful corrective actions or solutions, ultimately shifts the burden of these operational issues onto the clients.nnFor anyone considering hiring Tammuz, I would strongly recommend speaking not only with families who have already completed their journeys, but especially with those who are still waiting. These are the people experiencing the current reality of the operation and can provide a more accurate picture of the situation as it exists today.nnAs for our case, we continue to wait for the company to present concrete and reasonable alternatives that can restore the trust of its clients and demonstrate that it still has the capacity to manage the process efficiently and in a manner consistent with the commitments made at the outset.

I signed with Tammuz two years ago and am starting to think it might be a scam. I entered my latest waitlist 8 months ago with an expected wait time of four months. Now, 8 months later, it’s still an expected wait time of “four months”. I knew the process would take a long time but there has been no transparency about why the waitlist hasn’t moved in eight months. Will update if there is any improvement.

We’re grateful for our daughter, but deeply disappointed in Tammuz’s service. The agency acted more like an email forwarding service than a professional guide. We received no prenatal support (e.g., CPR workshop, psychological help, or guidance on Israeli benefits), no clear instructions about Mexican visa logistics (which led to a shortened stay), and no warning about the critical newborn hearing test—now causing insurance problems for our child in Israel.nnEven urgent medical updates during the birth were passed to us with zero explanation. We nearly missed the birth due to unclear communication about the due date. For the price we paid, the lack of guidance and accountability is unacceptable.

Going into a surrogacy journey is an exciting yet overwhelming process. AFS was the perfect agency match for me. My coordinator, and everyone that I worked with through my journey as a surrogate, were knowledgeable and supportive. They took the stress out of all tasks that must be completed such as insurance, legal, medical screenings so that I was able to focus primarily on growing a happy healthy human being. I will suggest them to anyone who is considering becoming a surrogate.

All Families Surrogacy has been a great agency to work with! After I knew I wanted to be a surrogate, I reached out to AFS and Tawni quickly responded and has been there next to me every step of the way. Not only do they take the time to ensure you are a good fit to be a surrogate, they also make sure that you have the support needed throughout your journey and even afterwards. AND, they do an amazing job matching you with intended parents! We completed a journey July 2023, but I wouldn’t even say “completed” because of our desire and the intended parents desire to continue to be apart of each others lives! Our journey continues and this is all thanks to All Families Surrogacy for being amazing at what they do!nOne other thing I would like to note as well is something my husband brought up while on this journey. He said he also felt supported and loved how much support the agency gives, not just to the surrogate but to the entire family. They know how important support is and it was truly felt before, during and now after!

AFS was the first agency I’ve worked with as a surrogate. I worked with Tawni and she was great. All the ladies at AFS are great. I may not have completed a journey with them (due to no fault of theirs), but I couldn’t have picked a better agency to be my first agency. From start to finish, they truly cared about me and my feelings. I wasn’t just a number to them. And I know I still matter to them and I have some lifelong friends because of AFS.

As I am wrapping up my first surrogacy journey the main thing that comes to my mind is there’s no way I could’ve went through this process on my own. Working with AFS has truly been the best experience. Their intake process was easy and straightforward. From the first meeting I knew they were the perfect fit! Tawni has been by my side every step of the way; from educating me on surrogacy to making sure I was supported after a difficult delivery and every moment in between. With Tawni’s help I was matched with the most wonderful couple that I now consider family. Although surrogacy is a very special experience, it can be challenging at times and that is where the support from a wonderful agency comes in. Mental health is a priority for AFS and they provide monthly sessions for their surrogates. They are so generous as they send small gifts randomly to let their surrogates know they care.nCourtney has been so easy to work with as well, taking care of all the financial matters through the entire process.nThis group has it figured out and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is even curious about becoming a surrogate.

Buying a body for nine months and then forcing her to go through one of the most brutal things a human can do and then buying a child isn’t very happy. Surrogacy will never be femurs and lgbtq friendly. Surrogacy is buying someone’s right to their own body and having the right to own your own body is a right I’m sorry to say but buying a child isn’t a right..

I tried to get pregnant with no success for more than 10 years. I did more than 15 IFVs in Brazil and faced a miscarriage twice.
I heard about Tammuz for the first time in 2016 in a seminar about surrogacy. My husband and I decided to do a surrogacy process with them; it was by far the best decision we took.
We had twins in the USA. One of them had to stay in NICU for four days because she had Infant jaundice and during the whole process, we received all the information and support we needed it.
Both of my children are healthy, beautiful and they are the love of our lives. We could never thank Tammuz enough! We know it is not an easy process but it worthed every second!

We have our family today thanks to the help of the Tammuz Family. It was not easy for us because we faced a miscarriage in the first pregnancy, but everything went well in the second one. Tammuz team treated us with a lot of respect by giving us all the information we needed even when the news was difficult.
I would never to do it with another agency because I know that the people that works on Tammuz are serious and have years of experience. I hope we can start our second process to have our second child soon.

We were impressed by their length of time in the industry and also the number of babies they have welcomed into the world. The worst agency ever. The database in which you can choose donors from is not real, the majority of the donors are not available.

They ask you to pay a big amount in advance even before anything has been Done.

From the first moment there was a click. We felt that Doron and the entire team founded Tamuz to give a wonderful, huge gift from the heart. We are a married couple, man and woman, and at the time we were with five-and-a-half-year-old twins. After their birth when they were two and a half years old, I got cancer when I was pregnant and lost the fetus in the fourth month. Happily, I recovered and it was clear to us that we wanted to bring another brother or sister to Heli and Idan. Getting the support of the family and the whole environment was not easy, they didn't understand why we wanted to go through such a complex process and the truth is that we were also afraid. But with Tammuz from start to finish it was very simple, the support, warmth and professionalism exceeded all expectations. At that point they were like family in every way. And after!! Thanks to them we have Itay who is now 3 and 9 months old. In my opinion, anyone who is undecided, one meeting in Tammuz and you will feel what I feel. Highly recommend. Merav Shovel Khinkis
