The IVF Center Andrology Puglia Pro.andros srl is located in C.rso Cavour, 22 in Barletta

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 the presentation of the Pro.Andros srl health facility took place.

The IVF Center Andrology Puglia Pro.Andros is the first Italian Certified Center of Andrology (certified by SIA, Italian Society of Andrology) and is the first Specialized Medical Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Male Infertility with Specific Regional Authorization for Andrological Surgery.

The aim of the Center is to address and solve simultaneously, in the same Structure, problems related to male sexual dysfunction, erection deficit, penile surgery, male infertility and female infertility. True innovation is having been able to put together a team of highly specialized professionals in the field of Andrology, Assisted Reproduction, Genetics, Endocrinology and Anesthesia and Pain Therapy.

The head of the Pro.andros Center is Dr. Teresa Leonetti, specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, clinician and embryologist of human reproduction.

The FIVET Andrology Puglia Center is totally innovative from a Structural, Technological, Scientific and Organizational point of view and is authorized to carry out the Health Activities of Medically Assisted Procreation and is registered in the National Register of PMA of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

By medically assisted procreation techniques we mean all those procedures that involve the treatment of human oocytes, spermatozoa and embryos as part of a project aimed at achieving a pregnancy.

These procedures include: homologous supracervical insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), intratubal gamete transfer (GIFT), intratubal transfer of zygotes (ZIFT) ), the cryopreservation of oocytes and embryos, the sperm bank, testicular sampling of gametes.

Our territory was devoid of points of reference and patients were forced to turn to distant structures, with consequent discomfort and increased costs.
