Because age is important:
The most fertile period for a woman is between 20 and 25 years, it remains sufficiently high up to 35, it undergoes a considerable decline starting from 35.
With advancing age there is a progressive decrease in the quantity of oocytes at internal ovaries up to a few hundred.
Aging occurs with oocytes, cells already mature from birth, and, in addition, increases the risk of diseases related to infertility (pelvic inflammatory diseases, tubal diseases, development of uterine fibroids, endometriosis).
 
What to do?
The decline in fertility takes place, with age, at a different speed from woman to woman. If you are close to the age of 35, and are looking for a pregnancy, contact a specialist center to receive all the relevant information and be followed appropriately.
 
Some simple tips:
Keep note of the frequency of menstrual cycles;
Write down each particular symptom;
If you try to conceive for more than six months without success, it's time to consult a doctor.
 
First useful exams:
Dosage of the FSH hormone in the 3rd day of the menstrual cycle: Simple test, is carried out through a blood test, and informative about the ovarian reserve, ability of the ovaries to supply oocytes.
Seminal analysis: Non-invasive and economic analysis, male infertility accounts for about 30% in couple infertility.
Hysterosalpingography (SHSG): study of Fallopian tubes and uterine cavity. It is an ultrasound examination, lasting about ten minutes, which provides useful information on tubal patency and on the uterine cavity (presence of uterine septa, polyps). Tubal problems affect about 20-25% of infertility cases.
These 3 tests intercept about 80-90% of the causes of infertility.
