PMA ALTAMEDICA Center Rome Responsible Prof Franco Lisi. The professor. Lisi has been involved in the diagnosis and therapy of couple infertility for more than 30 years. And also assisted fertilization. In fact it represents the history of assisted fertilization in Italy. Prof Franco Lisi participated in 1990 in the first injection of a sperm into an oocyte with the technique called SUZI (SUb Zonal Insemination). In fact, SUZI is the progenitor of the current ICSI, a technique that was the overcoming of the IVF born for the pathologies of the seminal fluid . He was also co-author of the first publication on an ICSI case series in Italy in 1994 .

Prof Franco Lisi Gynecologist of Fertility Lisi has a long experience in the field of homologous fertilization and in Italian heterologous fertilization . From 1987 to 1990 he collaborated with the pioneers of assisted fertilization in Italy. In particular with Prof Severino Antinori and also Prof Simon Fishel. From 1990 to 2008 he was co-responsible for the first Assisted Reproduction Center in Rome. The site was called Biogenesis at the Villa Europa Clinic at EUR in Rome. Furthermore, from 2008 to 2018 he was co-responsible of the CERMER Assisted Fertilization Center of the Villa Mafalda Clinic in Rome.
