The GIBIR clinic was created on November 10, 1997 and approved by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare of Paraguay, as a Center specialized in the management and treatment of high complexity in infertile couples.

The GIBIR clinic has been a pioneer in Paraguay in great achievements of Human Reproduction such as:

• The first pregnancy with the ICSI technique in Paraguay (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) in 1998.
• The first pregnancy reported with semen obtained by testicular biopsy in an azoospermic male, year 1998
• The first freezing of human semen in Paraguay, 1998.
• The first pregnancy with the use of frozen embryos in Paraguay, year 1999.
• First freezing of ovules for fertility preservation, 2012.
• The first newborn of In Vitro Fertilization with embryo transfer in Blastocyst stage, year 2013.
