Intrauterine Insemination with the partner’s sperm (IUI) or donor’s sperm (IAD) Switzerland

Price: EUR1200/EUR1500

IUI (Intrauterine insemination with the partner’s sperm)

Intrauterine insemination with the partner’s sperm (IUI) is the least invasive assisted reproduction technique: it involves a light pharmacological stimulation of follicular growth in order to induce ovulation. The aim is to bring 2 or 3 follicles to full maturity in order to increase the chances that at least one of them is fertilized.

Monitoring of follicular growth allows the synchronization of insemination with ovulation, thus increasing the potential for achieving pregnancy. In this process, the preparation of the man's sperm is fundamental: following deposit by the partner, the biologists at ProCrea’s andrology laboratory analyze the sperm, identifying those that are most mobile, with the greatest capacity for reproduction and prepare them for fertilization.

IAD (Intrauterine insemination with a donor’s sperm)

It involves a light pharmacological stimulation of follicular growth in order to induce ovulation.

On the day of the intrauterine insemination, the donor’s sperm is prepared in the laboratory and injected in the uterus through a thin catheter, through a pain-free procedure that does not require anesthesia. The fertilization of the egg occurs naturally. The success of this technique depends on the duration of infertility, age of the patient, the quality of the seminal fluid and the type of stimulation used.
