IVF With Embryo Donation

Embryo donation can be considered by single women or couples if there is infertility factor in both partners. This procedure can be utilized to avoid genetic diseases to pass the next generation as well. In this program, both sperm and egg are received from the donors to create the set of embryos. The born baby will not carry the genetics of the man (intended father) and woman (intended mother).

Who Might Consider IVF treatment with Embryo Donation?

Embryo donation is a procedure performed for patients who cannot use their eggs and sperm during an IVF treatment for several reasons. This treatment can be suitable;

  • For women who do not have ovaries
  • In cases of age-related infertility (A woman’s egg quality lessens as woman ages and significantly declines after age 37. So, IVF with an egg donor is considered most often for women aged 40 or older)
  • In cases of egg production decline due to premature menopause or other factors such as endometriosis, hereditary illnesses, and ovarian surgery that result in severe ovarian tissue loss.
  • In cases of several unsuccessful IVF cycles or recurrent miscarriages brought on by insufficient egg quality
  • For couples struggling with infertility, where the woman can't take the medicines to trigger ovulation.
  • For women who had post-cancer treatment (if the ovaries or eggs were damaged or removed)
  • In addition to female infertility, if there is also male infertility issues, such as low sperm count or poor sperm quality.
  • If there is a high risk of passing on a genetic abnormality or condition on both female and male side.
  • Single women interested in family building with IVF but cannot use their eggs for several reasons
