IVF with PGD (preimplantation genetic diagnosis) Cyprus

In order to obtain embryo for couples who want to choose gender, in vitro fertilization should be started.

The mother is suppressed by using a medicine on the 21st day of her period.

Then, the patient has menstruation within 10-12 days.
On the 3rd day of the new menstruation, induction is started using needles in order to increase the number and quality of egg cells.
These needles are administered at variable doses depending on the age of the expectant mother and the status of the egg reserves.

In our in vitro fertilization center in Cyprus, this induction can vary between 8 and 12 days on average.

When the egg cells reach the desired size, cracking needles are made and egg collection is planned in our center within 36 hours (1.5 days).

At the same time as the egg collection, sperm is taken from the candidate and the eggs are fertilized by microinjection (ICSI) and turned into embryo.

The development of all embryos is monitored and sex is determined by PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) method on the 3rd day.

2 days after sex selection, healthy embryos are selected according to the desired sex and transfer is performed.

12 days after the transfer, ßHCG is made in the blood and the result of pregnancy is learned.
