A century and a half of didactic, medical and scientific activity represent people and facts that in their congruence have contributed to the edification of modern medicine in Romania. 

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic I from Cluj-Napoca is located in the heart of the capital of Transylvania, on the southern hill of the Somes valley in a classic pavilion complex, the true architectural jewel of the time, brought to the requirements of today.

The assisted reproduction department represents an avant-garde center of the Gynecology Clinic I, which was set up at the initiative and under the coordination of Prof. Dr. V. Surcel in 2000.

The first institution in Transylvania dedicated to the management of infertility problems and reproductive biology, today the center operates under the coordination of Acad. Prof. Dr. Florin Stamatian and the management of Dr. Romeo Micu , seeking to offer successful solutions, but also economical, adapted to couples addresses the clinic in the desire to obstinate a pregnancy.

The center's team dedicates its clinical and research activity in order to increase the success of assisted human reproduction techniques, responding promptly to patients' questions and requests, providing medical and psychological input to overcome obstacles, representing a platform for information and support for infertile couples.

The Assisted Reproduction Department is designed and managed to provide medical care, counseling and treatment to the highest standards, preparing the ground for the successful completion of a pregnancy. Being equipped with state-of-the-art equipment in the field and benefiting from staff with vast experience in approaching infertility, the center offers patients the opportunity of an integrated, coherent and competent management of the subject of infertility.
