Prof. Dr. Nilgün Turhan is a renowned expert in the field of infertility and assisted reproductive technologies (IVF). She provides a highly individualized approach to patients, and tailor-made treatments to achieve the highest pregnancy rates for over 30 years. She is also specialized in patients who have had previously failed fertility treatments or who are considered poor responders to IVF treatment.

After graduating from Ankara University Medical School-Turkey in 1983, Dr. Nilgün Turhan completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in 1989. She completed a clinical and research fellowship program in Reproductive Gynecological Endocrinology and Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization Unit (IVF) at Modena University, Modena, Italy between 1990-1991. Upon returning to Turkey she continued her clinical and research studies in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization Unit at Zekai Tahir Burak Maternity Hospital, Ankara-Turkey. She moved to Fatih University School of Medicine where she served as Full Professor and the Department Chair and Director of In Vitro Fertilization Unit in 1996. Between 2011-2015 she was the Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department and Health Institute of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Muğla.

Between 2015-2016 she worked in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and IVF Unit of İstanbul Liv Hospital.

Since 2016 she is serving Gynaecology & Obstetrics and IVF Treatments in İstanbul in private Womens’ Health and IVF Clinic.

Her scholarly work includes authoring over 225 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, posters, and oral presentations at International Congresses. Her publications were cited more than 400 times.
