The University of North Carolina is known as one of the finest universities in the country. It has received recognition worldwide for its medical services year after year and, with its strong reputation for obstetrics and gynecology, UNC Fertility is no exception. All of the faculty members at UNC’s Fertility Clinic are Board-Certified in both Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, meaning they have completed a two- to three-year fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and have passed a rigorous set of four board examinations. In addition, all have full-time or clinical faculty appointments and are integral in the instruction of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellows, OB-GYN residents and medical students here at UNC.Our distinct fellowship training program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, directed by Dr. Steven Young, is approved by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This highly competitive program provides an intensive subspecialty training experience in clinical care and in basic, translational and clinical research. It is one of the very few to have all of its graduates achieve subspecialty certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Graduates have gone on to begin new subspecialty practices and work in academic or private practices across the country.
