I couldn’t wait to become pregnant, to have a baby, to relive the wonder of childhood, and to share what I’ve learned with someone who was discovering the world for the first time.Years ago, I taught pottery. I loved connecting with people through art and helping them find the freedom to express themselves. Soon, I was in graduate school, studying to be a therapist. A career was born, and time went by.At a certain point, I made a decision. I was ready to start a family. My family. On my own. I never thought I would have a baby through surrogacy. But I stood at a crossroads, where modern science and maternal instinct met, and took the biggest step on my journey to motherhood.I have lived the journey you are on as hopeful parents and I have seen the thrills, and complexities that surrogates experience.
