The Donor Egg Meeting

Will be held April 27 – April 30, 2017 at the Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The symposium will focus on the technology of oocyte donation and third party reproduction in assisted reproductive technology. A nationally recognized faculty will address the needs of reproductive endocrinologists, fellows, residents, laboratory professionals, nurses and mental health professionals in this rapidly expanding segment of in-vitro fertilization. The symposium format will allow the participants direct input into each faculty member's presentation. The symposium's roundtable breakfast and interactive luncheon will provide an opportunity for extensive contact between course faculty and participants. A comprehensive syllabus developed by the course faculty will also be provided.

On Thursday morning from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm  we will be offering a mini symposium entitled “Donor Eggs 101”. This All-New mini symposium is designed to aid in the development of a new donor egg program and help new members of the donor egg team. It will address the basics of egg donation such as how to advertise for donors, the step-by- step donor screening process, synchronization of the donor and recipient, stimulations, embryology and embryo transfer.

Doctors, Nurses and Mental Health Professionals who choose to attend the Donor Eggs 101 mini sypmosium will receive an additional 3 credit hours. You must pre-register for this event.

This year, in addition to Donor Eggs 101, we will be offer a “Genetics Reproductive Course with Emphasis on Egg Donation”. This course will start with a basic overview of reproductive genetics followed by detailed discussions of the nuances of expanded carrier screening, the various preimplantation genetic screening technologies, implications of embryo mosaicism and role of PGS in an egg donation program. The course will close with a panel discussion with plenty of opportunity for questions and answers. It will be at the Dunes West Resort from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Doctors, Nurses and Mental Health Professionals who choose to attend the "Genetics Reproductive Course with Emphasis on Egg Donation” mini Symposium will receive an additional 3.5 contact hours.  You must pre-register for this event.

On Friday evening we hope you will join us for a Lowcountry experience! Our reception will be a poolside evening networking reception “Southern Style” held around the beachside pool at the pavilion center of the Wild Dunes Resort. Truly southern, local offerings will be served while we take in the evening sea breeze, network with colleagues or enjoy a stroll along the beach.

Spouses, guests and children are welcome to enjoy this evening event for a minimal cost.  Attire is casual.

Educational Objectives:

Upon the conclusion of this symposium, the participant will be able to:

Explain clinical, psychological, and laboratory techniques to maximize success with third party reproduction.
