The IVF unit at the A. Wolfson Medical Center was established in 1995. Since then, the IVF unit at Wolfson Hospital is one of the best-known in the country. The unit has a team of 8 senior physicians, including 3 professors and a team of nurses and embryologists, headed by the unit's director, Prof. Arie Raziel. 

Prof. Arie Raziel is one of the only doctors in the country who combines a specialization in both female and male fertility, with 27 years of experience in the field of fertility. For many years he managed the male fertility institute at the hospital and one of the largest sperm banks in the country. At the same time, he was one of the cornerstones of the IVF unit of Assaf Harofeh Medical Center. In addition, he is a regular lecturer at Tel Aviv University and a teacher of many generations of medical students, interns, and physicians who specialize in fertility. Professor Raziel is a renowned expert in the field of fertility, female fertility, male fertility, and in vitro fertilization. 

Among the team of physicians in the unit can be found Prof. Aryeh Raziel, Prof. Ariel Weissman, Prof. Yaakov Farhi, and Dr. Amir Rabhon, one of the pillars of fertility in recent years in Israel, along with senior and experienced fertility doctors Dr. Eran Horowitz, Dr. Amir Shalev, Dr. Sarit Alush-Saadia, and Dr. Eran Gold. The IVF laboratory is managed by Dr. Maya Finkelstein and is equipped with the most advanced equipment, such as an embryoscope incubator that enables real-time photography (time-lapse) and other new incubators in which the fertilized eggs are grown under optimal conditions. According to the JCI requirements and meets the Israeli standard ISO-9001 2015 edition, in accordance with the regulations and procedures of the Ministry of Health for operating an in vitro fertilization unit, and in accordance with the procedures and requirements of the Wolfson Medical
